WhitecurrantsGeneral - White Versailles

Sometimes called the pink or yellow currant, Whitecurrants offer slightly smaller and sweeter berries than redcurrants, the bushes are highly ornamental offering good visual appeal and taking up little space.  Very tolerant of most soil types, these are ideal for the home garden market.

White Versailles

A self fertile, heavy cropping whitecurrant variety that ripens in mid to late summer.  Small pale green spring fowers lead onto a very reliable crop of large, shiny, soft pale yellow/white berries year on year.  These are visually appealing with a delicious sweet and flavoursome taste which are fantastic to either eat fresh from the plant or for other culinary uses such as jam or pie making.  This vigorous upright bush is suitable for areas too wet and shady for other fruit bearing plants.  Therefore any moist, neutral to slightly acidic soil is acceptable to grow this crop.
