Seasonality and Yield of Elegance

• Elegance is a mid-late season variety, 3-4 days later than Elsanta

• Excellent 60 day yield with higher % Class 1 than Elsanta (up to 99%)

• Class 1 yield per mm is up to 50% higher than Elsanta in 60 day production; 400g per plant achieved from 12mm crown compared to 250g for 13mm crown Elsanta

• Elegance is suitable for table top production

• Yield potential in main crop of Elegance is higher than Elsanta with higher % Class 1 fruit; up to 1.7kg Class 1 per plant for Elegance compared to 1.38kg/plant for Elsanta

• Regular and uniform conic shape

• Elegance has superb punnet appeal

• Excellent skin strength

• Excellent shelf life

• Firm flesh

• Bright orange/red

• Elegance % Brix level similar to Elsanta (around 8 on average)

• Elegance flavour is similar overall to Elsanta.  It can be enhanced in low input systems

Diseases

Elegance has improved resistance to Verticillium Wilt (Verticillium dahliae) over Elsanta.

Other disease tolerances are similar to Elsanta.
