Plant Availability

The foundations of Hargreaves Plants blackberry propagation are based upon the use of high health grade mother plants.  These have been sourced initially from the most reputable laboratories.  They are then transferred for multiplication within the sterile conditions of the company's tissue culture facilities.  In order to maintain the healthiest possible plants for its customers, Hargreaves Plants aims to deliver material that is as close as possible to the original mother stock.General - Tissue cultured Ouachita Blackberry

Based on knowledge gained in the past few seasons, the company aims to deliver the majority of its plants in the spring from modules tht have been over-wintered.  This vernalisation process helps to ensure that plants then establish more quickly and provide the producer with more vigorous growth than from other sources of material.

Tissue cultured material is the preferred choice for the most professional blackberry growers.  It combines a number of advantages, but principally, high vigour levels and top health status.

Plants are supplied as per the trading Terms and Conditions of Hargreaves Plants (see Legal Notices) which are supplied with every order confirmation, delivery note and invoice.  Orders will be accepted with a 25% deposit and all blackberry plants will require full payment prior to despatch.  Please note that many varieties are protected by Plant Breeders Rights and therefore propagation without a licence is illegal.
